A 23-year-old woman, Manes Mulauzi, has been fined 70K by the Phalombe Second Grade Magistrate’s Court for insulting police officers while they were carrying out their duties.
According to an article by Zodiak, the incident happened on June 20, when Mulauzi verbally abused traffic officers who were working to ensure road safety. Reports indicate that she insulted the officers after boarding a taxi, calling them “corrupt” and even referring to them as “agalu.”
She has been ordered to pay a K70,000 fine, or serve three months in prison if she fails to pay.
