Malawian hip-hop artist Tay Grin has announced a free concert scheduled for April 12, 2025, at Masintha Grounds in Lilongwe. Dubbed the ‘Gratitude Concert,’ the event aims to thank supporters who stood by him following a recent fire that destroyed part of his home.
In early March, Tay Grin’s residence in Area 43, Lilongwe, was severely damaged by a fire, resulting in significant property loss. The artist expressed profound appreciation for the support received from fans and fellow musicians during this challenging period. Notably, artists Lawi, Lulu, and Gwamba organized a benefit show to assist in rebuilding his home.
The upcoming concert is intended as a gesture of gratitude and a celebration of resilience. Tay Grin emphasized the importance of unity and perseverance, stating, “Let’s come together to celebrate life, unity, and resilience.”
In collaboration with Banja La Mtsogolo (BLM), the event will also offer free sexual and reproductive health services for youth attendees.
The ‘Gratitude Concert’ is free to the public, with gates opening early to accommodate attendees. Tay Grin encourages all to join in the celebration.
