Over 257,129 students are writing Standard 8 exams this week — that’s more than last year, with numbers up by 1.73%.
According to MANEB, exams will run from Wednesday to Friday, with 133,373 girls and 123,756 boys sitting this year.
While MANEB says all is set, some education experts are pushing for the removal of the exam fee, arguing it goes against the idea of free primary education.
