Patience Namadingo visited Mangochi District Hospital today, intending to discuss ambulance repairs. However, he was unable to meet with key hospital officials.
According to Namadingo, his attempts to contact the Director of Health Services earlier went unanswered. Upon arrival at 2:00 PM, he learned from the director’s secretary that the director had not been in the office and his whereabouts were unknown.
Efforts to meet with other officials were also unsuccessful. The hospital administrator was reportedly out for lunch at 2:40 PM, and the District Medical Officer was said to be on field duty in Monkey Bay.

Due to the unavailability of senior staff, Namadingo and his team have decided to extend their stay in Mangochi, hoping to meet with the officials the following day.
Namadingo’s visit was prompted by concerns over non-functional ambulances at the hospital. He had announced his intention to fund repairs for the vehicles, emphasizing the critical need for operational ambulances in the region.
