Residents of Mzondo in Area 25, Lilongwe, have killed 28-year-old Enayi Banda after accusing him of stealing a goat.
According to reports, Police spokesperson Gresham Ngwira confirmed the incident and has strongly condemned the rise in mob justice cases.
Banda’s body, found with deep wounds, has reportedly been taken to Kamuzu Central Hospital for a postmortem.
