Malawian Artists Bag COSOMA Funding for International Projects

Saint-Realest, Lulu & Mathumela Band, Onesimus, Zeze, and Deborah have received funding from the Copyright Society of Malawi (COSOMA) under its 6th Call for Proposals to support international creative projects.

Beneficiaries and Projects

• Saint-Realest – Awarded K19.3 million for a music collaboration with a top Zimbabwean artist.

• Lulu & Mathumela Band – Received K20 million for a music collaboration with a leading Nigerian artist.

• Onesimus – Granted K20 million for a music collaboration with a prominent Tanzanian artist.

• Zeze – Allocated K20 million for live performances in the United States.

• Deborah – Received K16 million for music collaborations and live performances with a top Zambian gospel artist.

This initiative is part of COSOMA’s Copyright Fund, which allocates resources to support creative projects aimed at developing the copyright industries in Malawi.
