Malawian hip-hop artist IKK has claimed that he spent over K108 million on the music video for his latest track featuring South African artist Malinga.
In a post shared on social media, IKK broke down the full budget, detailing expenses both in South Africa and Malawi. According to the figures, major costs included K15 million for a videographer, K21 million for international promotion, K12 million for accommodation and food, and K10 million for models.
IKK also said K6 million was allocated to local TV and online promotion, while the Malawian side of the production included K8 million for artist expenses and K4 million for a videographer.
While some fans have raised eyebrows over the high cost, IKK maintains that he has receipts and proof of every kwacha spent.
