Fredokiss is on track to make history as Hip-Hop’s first Member of Parliament. After losing to Noel Lipipa in 2019, the Ghetto King Kong is now poised to represent the Blantyre Zingwagwa-Soche East constituency.
The 2019 race saw Fredokiss and Lipipa competing in a single constituency, which has since been split. Lipipa went on to win the newly created Blantyre Kabula Nancholi Manase constituency, while Fredokiss appears set to claim the other half.

The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) announced that official parliamentary election results will be released within 14 days from 16 September, when Malawians cast their votes.
Unofficial tallies, however, indicate a clear victory for Fredokiss, signaling a landmark moment for Malawi’s music and political scene alike.
