Dorothy Kingston Reflects on Personal Milestones Amid Ongoing Legal Proceedings

Malawian entrepreneur and socialite Dorothy Kingston, widely known as “Cash-Madam,” has recently shared significant personal achievements over the past five years, despite facing legal challenges.

In 2020, she was arrested alongside former Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) CEO Collins Magalasi and two others on allegations of manipulating MERA’s procurement processes to award a K186 million contract to her company, Vink Enterprise.  As of April 1, 2025, High Court Judge Patrick Chirwa ruled that there is sufficient evidence for the accused to answer in this high-profile corruption case.

Amid these legal proceedings, Dorothy, who’s now married to Zeze, has highlighted several personal accomplishments:

1. Education: She completed a three-year degree program and is anticipating her graduation ceremony in September.

2. Marriage: She married a Malawian musician, expressing deep affection for her partner.

3. Leadership: She was elected president of the Film Association of Malawi, aiming to serve and empower the creative community.

4. Entrepreneurship: Ventured into farming, establishing a thriving mega farm.

5. Philanthropy: Constructed homes for her parents and her own family.
