An arrest warrant has been issued for social media personality Hanna “Tamia Ja” Jabes after she failed to appear in court twice and ignored a K50,000 fine, reports Times 360 Malawi.
This is for the case where the National AIDS Commission (NAC) filed accusing Tamia Ja of exposing someone’s HIV status without consent and damaging their reputation.
The court has ordered that she remain in police custody until the case concludes. NAC representative Bruno Matumbi noted that Tamia Ja missed two court appearances despite being summoned.
