South African opposition leader and Member of Parliament, Julius Malema, has been found guilty of multiple charges by the East London Magistrate’s Court.
Malema was convicted on multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, discharging a firearm in a public or built-up area, failing to take reasonable precautions to prevent danger to people or property, and reckless endangerment.
The case stems from an incident where Malema was accused of recklessly discharging a firearm at a public gathering.
The court is expected to deliver sentencing details in due course.
