Emmie Deebo has announced 115 successful recipients of the Emmie Deebo Scholarship, selected from 709 applicants after a rigorous vetting process.
A total of K28 million was raised for the initiative, with funds coming from:
- K14 million from First Born album streams and tour.
- K4 million from FUNetix
- K10 million from the Shepherd Bushiri Bursary
From this amount, K21 million has been disbursed directly to students, while K7 million went towards administratice costs.
The scholarship is aimed at supporting underpriviledged students to pursue their education and ease financial burdens.
