Malawian innovator and entrepreneur Nthanda Manduwi took the stage at the BBC Africa Town Hall to share her powerful views on artificial intelligence and the future of work.

She challenged Africa to stop being passive users of technology and instead take charge in shaping an AI-driven future. Among her key points:
1. Decolonise education to build creators, not colonial clerks.
2. Don’t just use AI — create and own it.
3. Losing a job should mean starting work for Africa, not despair.
4. Learn before regulating innovation and governance.
5. Secure scalable, reliable energy to drive AI ambitions.
6. Fund African entrepreneurs to lead this revolution.
“Africa must not wait. Our AI future is ours to create, invent, and control,” she emphasized.
