The Malawi Film Association (FAMA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with local streaming platform Kweza to promote and distribute Malawian films.
Under the agreement, Kweza will stream films recommended by FAMA, providing structure in the industry while offering filmmakers a platform to showcase their work to wider audiences.
FAMA says the partnership marks an important step toward building stronger ties with streaming services and reviving the local film industry.
