25-year-old Iman Tayali, who was trusted as a supervisor and handled CCTV at Luwinga SANA Supermarket, broke into the shop at night on Saturday. He cut through the roof and tried to get away with a sack full of cash from weekend sales.
But his plan fell apart when a security guard heard strange noises and called for backup. Tayali was found trying to run and dropped the sack during the chase.

He had also damaged CCTV gear worth 6 million Kwacha, hoping to erase any evidence. Luckily, the full amount was recovered, and he’s now in police custody, waiting to face court charges.
