The Cybercrime Unit at the National Police Headquarters in Lilongwe has arrested Lusubilo Kadzombe, the operator of a travel agency named NIF HireHost LTD, on allegations of defrauding job seekers out of millions of kwacha.

According to police reports, Kadzombe collected money from individuals under the pretense of processing visas for overseas employment opportunities but failed to deliver on her promises.

Kadzombe hails from Mwamalopa village, Traditional Authority Kyungu in Karonga district. She now faces charges of fraud other than false pretence, contrary to Section 319A of the Penal Code. She is expected to appear in court soon to answer these allegations.
