Emmie Deebo has been awarded the Best New Female Artist – Africa at the Arts & Entertainment Awards held in Nairobi, Kenya. In her absence, the award was accepted by Malawi’s High Commission representative, Benson Jackson Ojesi.
Prior to this accolade, Deebo received four nominations at the Africa Arts Entertainment Awards 2025: Best New Female Artist, Best Collaboration by New Act, Best Music Video by New Act, and Best Hit Single by New Act. These nominations were largely attributed to her song “Hapa,” featuring Tanzanian artist Platform.
Additionally, in August 2024, Deebo performed at the 2nd Zanzibar International Youth Tourism Summit. Her performance led to her receiving the Rising Star (Southern Africa) award from the Executive Director of the Zanzibar Economic Empowerment Agency.
Deebo has also been nominated in the Young Achievers Africa Awards 2025, scheduled for April in Kigali, Rwanda. She is nominated in the categories of Best Up and Coming Artist of the Year and Best Rising Star of the Year.
