Blantyre Soirée Pop-Up Returns as “Maju-té” is announced

Blantyre’s social scene is about to level up as Maju-té: A Soirée Pop-Up takes over Café Maju on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 2PM – 10PM. Organized by The Sunday Soirée, the event promises a high-energy mix of music, culture, and premium curated experiences to set the tone for the year ahead.

Maju-té is more than just a party—it’s a carefully curated experience, bringing together Blantyre’s finest to enjoy top-tier music, indulgent food, and exclusive drink selections. According to organizers, guests can expect a whiskey experience, craft beer tastings, a gourmet shisa nyama menu, a refined wine selection, a shisha lounge, and a variety of creative shots.

The music lineup will feature The No Name DJs & Friends, spinning a mix of Afro-house, Amapiano, Soulful House, and Afrobeats to keep the energy flowing all night. Beyond the fun, Maju-té also doubles as a networking space, giving young professionals and creatives a chance to connect and spark new collaborations.

As Sunday Soirée returns for 2025, the pressure to dress to impress that comes with the event also returns. To match the luxurious yet laid-back theme, the event will be styled in a color palette of Peacock Blue, Laurel, Moonlight, and Warm Ivory. Interesting to see if Blantyre will follow the theme. 👀

Oh and by the way, organizers say no tickets will be sold at the door—so securing one early is a must.
